Kanasta Caravan Park Dog Policy

 When making a booking, please inform the park of your intention to bring your pet so we can allocate a pet-friendly accommodation. By accepting your furry friend, you agree to take full responsibility for your pet and comply with these rules and regulations. You can do this via email sales@kanastacaravanpark.com.au

Dog Fee:

We charge a flat rate of $22 per night for your dog to cover extra cleaning costs associated with dog hair and odours.

Kanasta Caravan Park donates up to 50% of this charge per month to the Mornington Peninsula Dog Rescue.

What else does the fee help with?:

The pet fee serves several purposes:

1. Additional Cleaning Costs: Accommodating pets necessitates extra cleaning efforts to maintain a pristine environment for all guests, removing any pet hair, odours, or allergens.

2. Maintenance and Repairs: Pets may unintentionally cause wear and tear, and the fee helps cover potential damages or the need for repairs, ensuring our facilities remain in excellent condition.

3. Supporting Local Causes:  We are proud to allocate up to 50% of the fee to the Mornington Peninsula Dog Rescue, supporting local animal welfare initiatives and making a positive impact in our community.

5. Fair Pricing Structure: The pet fee ensures a fair distribution of costs associated with accommodating pets, maintaining a balance in pricing and considering the additional resources and services required for a pet-friendly environment.

Pet owner requests : 

1. Upon arrival at the park, the acceptance of dogs will be at the manager’s discretion.

2. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while walking within the park.

3. Dogs should be socialised. Non-sociable, aggressive, or excessively vocal dogs are not permitted.
4. Dogs are permitted in your specified cabin only. They are not allowed on furniture or beds, so please provide their own bed.
5. Dog owners are fully responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Waste must be sealed in a “doggy do” plastic bag and disposed of in the rubbish bins.
6. Dogs must be on a regular flea treatment schedule, and proof may be requested.

7. While we understand that dogs may bark, excessive barking may result in an early departure.

8. For health and safety reasons, dogs are not allowed in the games room, laundry, amenity block, or playground.

9. Dogs should not be left unattended at any time to prevent disruption to other guests.

10. Dog owners are personally responsible for their dogs throughout their stay, and the Park Manager reserves the right to evict any guests whose dogs are deemed disruptive, noisy, aggressive, or the subject of complaints from other guests.

All guests and their furry friends staying at the park must adhere to these rules.
